National Partnership Agreement on Homelessness
Through this agreement the Commonwealth and the States and Terriotries will work together to reduce significantly homelessness by 2013.
The Commonwealth and the states will committ $800 Million over the four years from 2009-10 to implement this agreement.

Special Commission of Inquiry into Child Protection
In early 2008, The NSW Governor appointed retired Supreme Court Judge James Wood AO QC to inquire into the NSW child protection system.
The final report of the Special Commission of Inquiry into Child Protection Services in NSW was provided to the Governor on 24 November 2008 and was released by the Government on the same day.

Which Way Home? Homelessness Green Paper
On 22 May 2008, the Prime Minister, The Hon Kevin Rudd MP and Minister for Housing, Tanya Plibersek MP released the Green Paper and invited public discussion and written contributions to inform the development of the White Paper. The white paper will set out the Government's national plan of action in this area to 2020.

NSW Housing and Human Services Accord
(The Accord between the Department of Housing and NSW Human Service Agencies)
The Purpose of the Accord is to improve planning, coordination and delivery of services to assist social housing tenants to sustain their tenancies, facilitate community building and reduce social disadvantage.
